MB will once again honour and acknowledge the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30, 2024 to recognize the history and legacy of residential schools as part of the reconciliation process with Indigenous peoples. While the Province of Ontario has not declared this a provincial holiday, we have nonetheless chosen to recognize the date by closing our offices in honour of the affected families and communities and treating the day as if it were a recognized provincial statutory holiday.
Please note that because September is not an actual provincial statutory holiday in Ontario, certain tribunals (such as the LAT), court reporting offices, etc. are still open and we appreciate that several of the lawyers will still be working, but we hope that they will nonetheless be able to recognize this important day. If you require office support for that day, please let Kathryn know.
