Arthur’s civil litigation practice focuses on developing practical and cost-effective resolutions to claims involving motor vehicle accidents, occupiers’ liability, business liability, and professional malpractice. Whether defending actions or prosecuting claims against third parties, he is a tireless advocate who pursues justice through every avenue for his clients.
Arthur honed his litigation skills at a boutique litigation firm by representing leading insurance companies in a variety of civil litigation and accident benefits disputes. He then worked in the personal injury department of a major multi-service law firm in Toronto, where he learned the art of a successful personal injury claim. He has appeared before the Superior Court of Justice, Small Claims Court, Divisional Court, and at the Licence Appeals Tribunal.
His peers recognized his leadership skills by electing him Co-President of the Polish-Canadian Legal Association from 2014 to 2016. Therefore, it may not be surprising that Arthur is also fluent in Polish. Today, he sits on the Association’s Board of Directors and continues to engage with the community through a variety of networking, social, and media events.
Outside of the office, Arthur enjoys traveling to new places that change his perspective on what’s possible, cycling, weight training, hiking, and cheering for the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The Court recently addressed the contentious issue of whether a litigant, in the course of a civil action, can obtain disclosure of the last known contact information of a municipality's former employees who might reasonably be expected to have knowledge of the occurrences in issue in the action, where access to that information would otherwise be restricted by provincial privacy legislation.
